A Sustainability Project Manager opportunity has opened up with my client, a leading public body within insurance compliance.

As Sustainability Project Manager, you will lead the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) project. Working within the Sustainability Department, you will primarily project manage the CSRD reporting requirements and support projects to ensure compliance with CSRD. You'll ensure compliance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), tackle identified gaps, and integrate solutions into our implementation roadmap.

To be successful in the role, you will be accountable for:

Leading the CSRD project to ensure timely delivery and compliance with the ESRS framework and effectively implementing the project roadmap for the new regulatory reporting disclosures

Analysing data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement and support the business in improved sustainability practices

Preparing regular sustainability reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders (Steering Committee & Board)

Collaborating with business stakeholders to build strong relationships and support regulatory reporting frameworks is a main point of contact

Supporting in the delivery of the IPB Sustainability Strategy, emphasising our commitment to being a Responsible and Sustainable Insurer

What we're looking for:

Experience in project management and conducting data analysis and interpretation of regulatory requirements

Preferred Accounting qualification

Excellent knowledge and understanding of CSRD

Ideally some experience of interpreting and applying accounting and/or ESG Standards

Relevant experience in financial reporting processes and data validation

Knowledge and interest of sustainability concepts and ideally experience in leading and implementing sustainability regulatory reporting programmes

Proven ability to lead projects, engage stakeholders and drive change

Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
